What’s going on in Frankie’s?

Welcome to our brand new blog, featuring the likes of Roger Pizey, Executive Head Chef and Head Chef Gabor Toth. They will update you on the exciting new things happening in Frankie’s from time to time! This week, Roger will kick start it off with discussion of the new menu soon to arrive in Frankie’s.

Roger says:

The excitement mounts as the new Frankie’s menu is about to be launched. Gabor, my Head Chef, has already brought you his BBQ menu with a delicious spicy bourbon sauce and now he has worked his magic to bring you some great new American style dishes.

With this new menu we’ve brought together many classic dishes. Including a typical Southern dish of shrimp and grits. I can hear you screaming what is that? Well, its spice rubbed tiger prawns cooked with peppers and a lovely smooth polenta. For generations, shrimp and grits have been everyday food for people who live in the vicinity of Charleston, South Carolina so we figured let’s bring it to Fulham! Also included on the new menu, and definitely a new favourite of Gabor’s is the Muffuletta. Originating from New Orleans with an Italian style bread from Sicily. It is a HUGE sandwich that Joey Tribbiani would be proud of. Built with layers of ham , salami, provolone cheese and pickled vegetables and served with a small rocket and balsamic salad this sandwich really isn’t for the faint hearted. Although I think Gabor finds tackling it quite easy. I have also just tried Gabor’s Kentucky chicken strips that he’s creating for the World Cup bar menu, boy they pack a punch!! Only one problem…they are far too moreish and he didn’t make me nearly enough to try so I’m off to find some more.
